CAL-1 documents that the equipment you buy complies with the specifications
printed in OMEGA’s handbooks. This calibration is normally
FREE and gives you additional assurance that what you are buying
is exactly what has been specified in the OMEGA® handbook. CAL-1 is FREE. |

CAL-2 documents that the equipment you buy not only meets the published
specification, but also that calibration and testing was performed
using NIST traceable equipment. CAl-2 is FREE. |

CAL-3 documents the product meets specification and provides actual
tested data points along with NIST traceable test numbers. A CAL-3
provides the same documentation as CAL-1/CAL-2 and gives you discrete
test points of data and NIST traceable test numbers. This calibration
is performed in accordance with ISO10012-1 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 requirements.

CAL-4 documents the equipment meets specifications, provides actual
tested data points selected, and gives NIST traceable test data.
A CAL-4 is similar to a CAL-3 except the specific test points are
chosen by you. This calibration is also performed in accordance
with ISO10012-1 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 requirements. Additional Charge for this CAL.

A
CAL-5 documents that the thermocouple probe was made from a spool
of OMEGACLAD® wire checked at various
temperatures. This certificate is not NIST certified.
The process is referred to as a "batch calibration" because all the
probes cut from the same spool will have been tested at the same
data points. This certificate is available on thermocouple probes
made from OMEGACLAD® mineral insulated
thermocouple wire. Additional Charge for this CAL. |
