The CDCN200 series mini controllers have been specially designed
for the water conditioning applications. They are miniaturized to an
8 by 5 cm (3 x 2") dimension so that they can be mounted right on the
water softening equipment. Due to their equally compact prices, these
meters are ideal for softeners that do not incorporate a controller and
leave the controlling to manual checks. The conductivity and TDS
values are displayed in large digits on the LCD. There are even
LED’s to indicate whether the relay is active or not. CDCN201 and
CDCN202 measure conductivity from 0 to 1999 MicroSiemens/cm and 0.00 to
10.00 MilliSiemens/cm, respectively. CDCN203 and CDCN204 check and
control TDS from 0.00 to 10.00 ppt and 0 to 999 ppm, respectively.
CDCN203 and CDCN204 operate with a conversion rate of 0.50
between TDS and conductivity which best fits the water conditioning
and softening applications. A built-in relay terminal is activated when
the measurements are above the setpoint. This allows for the
conductivity to be lowered to the desired threshold. In order to adjust
the setpoint or calibrate the controllers, simply turn the relevant
trimmer positioned on the front panel. The controllers are easy to
install and come with probes and mounting brackets. The CDE201
and CDE202 probes have 1 /2 " external threads so that they can be
installed directly in the softener’s pipe. The probes incorporate a fast
responding temperature sensor. The 2 meter (6.6') lead ends in a
5-wire terminal, which incorporates an anti-noise wire, particularly
important when working in an environment with running pumps or
machinery. Temperature affects EC and TDS to the tune of 2%
per degree. These mini controllers compensate for the temperature
automatically. In order to provide the best solution for your application,
the meters are available in three models.
Choose from the switchable 100-110V/220-240V operated models or
optional 12 VDC version with the transformer included in the low price.
