Description

The DP7000 Series temperature meters offer a wide temperature range, 2 selectable alarm settings, and an internal buzzer that indicates alarm condition or error. The user can define setpoint, on/off heating/cooling regulation, alarm configuration, load status, and ambient probe adjustment. Other features include password protection and error/alarm messaging. Temperature and output status is indicated on the bright-red LED display. The DP7000 can be programmed for J or K thermocouple inputs.

APPLICATIONS
These meters are suitable for industrial chillers, environmental chambers, walk-ins and freezers, heat sealers, sterilizers, coolers, display cases and cabinets, warmers, meat and produce storage, floral preservation, laboratories, food service equipment, ovens and dryers, tool rooms, and burn-in rooms and chambers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Variable results I have a bunch of these in my lab, because they are low cost, but they also have a number of different problems. Two older ones I had suddenly stopped working without warning. The display went blank and there was no indication of life. Both of them. A third, older one but identical model, has somehow lost its ability to save settings. It goes back to factory default every time the power is turned off (it goes back to cooling mode, so it is unusable until I reprogram it). I bought two more, and fresh out of the box both were indicating 15C higher than the actual temperature. I called Omega, and they said this is within the design tolerance which surprised me. These may be cheap units, but the quality control seems to be all over the place, and I don't think I will buy these units again.
