OMEGA® dc single output solid-state relays incorporate power MOSFET’s as output devices in the original package. This dc relay takes full advantage of MOSFET’s together with their established features such as freedom from second breakdown, fast switching, ease of paralleling and temperature stability.
The output switching capability of these relays is 0 Amps through 40 Amps at 100 Vdc, and 0 through 12 Amps at voltages up to 500 Vdc. The (SPST, normally open) output has 2500 VRMS of isolation from the mounting base and input circuit.
The input can be driven from most logic circuits, requiring less than 1.6 mA at 5 Vdc. The dc control signal activates a 50 kHz oscillator which is transformer coupled to the output circuit.
