The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, issued in 2003 by the European Commission, applies to electrical and electronic
equipment put on the market as of July 1, 2006. Enacted to improve environmental quality, this legislation restricts the use of six substances
in equipment distributed to member states of the European Union.
The directive specifies four heavy metals and two brominated flame retardants:

At this writing, the directive either does not cover or expressly excludes the products that Omega manufactures. Still, Omega realizes
