PROBLEM:
D1000 setup in DasyLab runs intermittently. It runs some times without errors and does not run other times giving "Communication Error".
SOLUTION:
D1000 default setting has "Echo On". Run Setup Command to set bit 2 of third byte to "0" to turn Echo off.
In DasyLab, set D1000 icon properties for 485 instead of 232 (even if D1000 is setup for RS232 communications) with address of 49 (decimal equivalent of Hex 31 and ASCII 1).
EXPLANATION:
Dasylab RS232 driver is designed for multi-unit connection and hence designed to run with "Echo ON" and cannot be turned off in Dasylab. On RS485, since data is received by all
modules on bus, the Dasylab driver is designed with "ECHO off". Hence, when using single RS232 module with Dasylab, if communication problems occur, set Dasylab icon to RS485 and
D1000 module with "Echo OFF".
