The HX93B and HX93BD Series transmitters provide remote and on-site monitoring of temperature and relative humidity. Both series output a linearized current or voltage signal proportional to the temperature and relative humidity. Relative humidity output is temperature compensated. Current output models enable placing of the transmitter at a remote location virtually any distance away from the measuring device. The HX93BD models feature a built-in digital display that indicates both temperature and relative humidity simultaneously. All models use an accurate digital sensor. A stainless steel mesh type filter, easily removable for cleaning, protects the sensor. Mounting screws are easily accessible inside the rugged, polycarbonate enclosure which protects the electronics to NEMA 13 (IP54) specifications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great even in a dirty environment I got several of these units for capturing ambient temperature and humidity around some of the batch mixers in my plant. The units were easy to set up and were quite reliable, especially considering the dirty environment that they lived in.

They are generally reliable for extended periods of time.However, one of the last two I purchased was dead out of the box. That was not something I had seen before, having used dozens of this generation and the previous generation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unknown functionality due to manufacturing issue I bought this sensor and it was labeled properly HX93BV2 for the 0-10Vdc version on the outside but on the inside, the printed circuit board is marked as "C" indicating it's a 4-20mA version. So I exchanged it and alas, the second one has the same assembly issue.

The manual says max load resistance: 1250ohms (For all outputs: 0-1 Vdc, 0-5 Vdc, 0-10 Vdc). Does this mean 1250 each or 1250 together?

Thank you for your question. The 1250 ohm resistance is for each of the output options available. Since the product only has one output, the resistance value is in reference to your choice of output and not all options as a collective. This means no matter your choice of output between 0-1 Vdc, 0-5 Vdc, or 0-10 Vdc, you will have a max load resistance of 1250.

Does the HX93BDC have calibration certificate available from Omega? We are using it only for personal comfort in a lab but wanted to see if we should calibrate it prior to installation or if it is factory calibrated and meets accuracy specs as received.

I have an HX93BDC that I bought some time ago to have as a spare for one in service. I powered it up today and the analog outputs are working properly but there is no display. The backlight works, but no readout of temperature or humidity.

Is the chassis ground terminal, #5, for safety grounding only, or does connecting this affect the performance of the device?

re HX93B: 1) assuming the sensor is immersed in an air stream, what velocity range is the calibration valid? 2) what is the minimum storage temperature? 3) what altitude range is the sensor calibration valid?
