Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't last long. The coil broke after just a few uses. Sent it back for repair and was told it wouldn't be able to be repaired and there is no warranty. I was offered a 10% discount to buy a new one.

What is the Accuracy of this probe model type K HPS-HT-K12SMP-M ?

Asked by: CalibrationLAB
The HPS-HT probes would adhere to the Standard Limits of Error specification with the orientation of the probe to the surface being extremely important to meet the specification. This probe being type K should be +/- 2.2 C or 0.75% of reading whichever is greater from 0/1250 C.

Question regarding the correct means of using the probe. Is it required to merely rest the probe tips on the surface, while ensuring full contact. Or must downwards pressure be exerted to the point where the outer sheath contacts this surface also?

Asked by: Dosser
Thank you for your inquiry. The HPS-HT Series surface probe has a spring-loaded sensing element where you basically apply some gentle pressure on the tip of the probe to get a temperature reading.
