The CN9-16MB and CN9-32MB mounting brackets allows quick and easy mounting of standard DIN panel instruments on either a DIN rail or to the wall. Mounting brackets are offered for both 1/16 DIN and 1/32 DIN panel instruments that have less than 120 mm (4.7") depth, including connectors and wires, behind the front bezel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expensive, But Does the Job With shipping this little plastic bracket to hold a single DIN module costs $38. Nobody else makes anything similar that I could find. The bracket required filing about a millimeter off of the cutout in order to fit a 48mm Chinese timer module. It does what it is supposed to do, but seems a little bit flimsy. It would be nice if someone made something a little bit more substantial like a wall-mounted DIN module enclosure with 24mm & 48mm knockouts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Convenient and unique I have a handful of 1/32 DIN process controllers that don't need to be user accessible (not front panel mounted), but can be hidden inside an enclosed control cabinet. These mounting brackets are a convenient solution: just stuff the controller into the bracket, clip it on a DIN rail, wire it, and done. That's better than the extra work and extra operator confusion of mounting them on the front panel, and way better than having to fabricate my own mounting brackets (BTDT). Warning: They're pretty deep, so you better have a pretty big control cabinet for them. And even then, normal-size controllers fit very snugly, and wiring the controller is difficult (better do it before pushing it in). That's a good compromise; extra space in the back just for wiring convenience would have made the depth problem even worse. When used with 1/32 instruments, they even give me a small bit of panel space above and below the instrument, enough for a discrete LED indicator or toggle switch (more convenient than having to use DIN-rail mounted versions of those). Why only 3 stars? The biggest complaint: the hole is out of spec, and is even too small for Omega's own Platinum controllers. Nothing that 10 minutes with a file won't cure, but those 10 minutes each could have been spent more pleasantly (like eating lunch, or soaking in the hot tub). They are also a little flimsy (in particular the DIN-rail clip is primitive), and I worry whether they'll survive the rough life of industrial controls. They are not cheap for simple molded plastic, but a good value compared to having to build your own mounts.
