Description

Housed in a wall-mount, watertightplastic enclosure, the CN1514 andCN1517 Series are versatile,multi-zone controllers. They featuremultiple control modes that are idealfor a full range of applications, fromsimple to complex processes.

Input type for each zone is selectedindependently. Scaling and offsetallow current and voltage signals tobe converted and displayed inengineering units. Temperaturefrom thermocouples, RTDs, andthermistors can be displayed in°C/°F. In addition, each zone has itsown ramp/soak profile, with up to7 segments.

On/off, as well as PID control, isoffered for optimal process stability.Processes that do not require tightcontrol through complex tuning ofPID parameters can be run undersimple on/off control. Each zone hasits own set of on/off and PIDparameters, and each zone can beprogrammed for heating or cooling.Setpoint deviation, positive as wellas negative, can be viewed.

Additional functions includemin/max reading for each zone,indefinite program hold, automaticscanning and displaying of differentzones, and 3 display modes(setpoint only, process only, or bothsetpoint and process). Power,control, and process signalconnections are conveniently madewith Euro style plug-in connectors.

Each zone has a 3-digit-longengineering label that can beprogrammed to indicate the type ofprocess being controlled (e.g., °C or°F for temperature, psi for pressure,etc.). Every controller's run status isindicated by LEDs. Channel displaytime is also programmable.
