Please check out Newest Released Temperature and Humidity Portable Data Logger with LCD Display OM-HL-SH Series for more advanced features with excellent user experience.
The OM-70 Series of portable temperature and temperature/humidity data loggers are easy-to use, versatile devices which can be used for a wide range of logging applications including coolers, freezers, greenhouses, museums, laboratories, shipping containers, warehouses, environmental monitoring and food storage.
These data loggers are capable of sampling as fast as once per second or as slow as every 18 hours. Models OM-71 and OM-72 can store a total of 43,344 temperature measurements in memory. Model OM-73 can store a total of 43,344 measurement points for temperature only or 21,672 points of temperature, humidity and dew point. The model OM-74 thermocouple data logger can store 32,638 temperature samples. Easy-to-use Windows software is included with each data logger.
The software is a full-featured program that allows you to set up all data logger functions including sampling rate, logging duration, start mode, logging mode, and high and low temperature alarm values. Once data has been logged, the program then allows you to download data from the logger, plot the data and export the data to an ASCII text or Excel file format for further analysis.
Software Features Include: • Data summary to read statistics and alarm information in a simplified report format. • Data listing for tabular view of detailed dates, times and values of recorded data. • Graph function displays data in clear graphical format. • Zoom magnifies data with powerful zoom and autoscale functions. • Autoscale function fits data to the screen or allows user to manually enter their own values. • Graphical Cursor displays exact data of any point in the graphical display. • Export data in text or Excel format. • Print graph or text data with print preview and setup options. • Logger configuration allows easy set up and launch of data loggers with immediate or delayed start, preferred sample rate, alarm setup, and custom ID. • Password protected calibration function automatically stores with parameters in device or restores factory defaults. A calibration Window is provided in the software to simplify the calibration procedure. • Status windows display unique ID of logger, battery voltage, memory used, sample rate, duration, alarm condition and logging status. • Menu Bar along the top of the screen provides one click access to software functions.

Hi temp data loggerThe unit works as very well. Only issue is the directions. they are all online and incomplete so it is trial and error until you figure out how to operate to unit.

Good value for a stand alone data loggerI have bought these many times over the years and appreciate the updates to the user interface. The data loggers are very robust and accurate. I would give this a 5 star review if there was a version of the software that would also calculate Heat Index as part of the standard data output. Very useful for safety studies.

LoggerGood device, intuitive SW. Good device, intuitive SW.
Can I log two separate temps continuously with this one unit? Since you discontinued the OM PL-TT I am looking for a replacement.
Asked by: mark1234
OM-72 has one internal and one external temperature sensor. Other options you can consider are OM-DVT4 or ISD-TC.
These are not direct replacements of the OM-PLTT, so please read the spec sheets before making your decision. If you have any question please contact our DAS team at das@omega.com or give us a call and ask for the Data Acquisition group.

I would like to know what is the maximum distance the logger can be from the sensors in the wired version? Is it possible to have the probes place approx. 20 meters from the device? will the information carry that far?
Asked by: Danielsan
The OM-71 has a built in sensor it does not have a remote sensor. Take a look at the OM-74 that has a external thermocouple connection so you can use a remote probe and 20 meters is no problem for a thermocouple.

What is the resolution of this wireless data logger when connected to SC-GG-T-30-36-PP thermocouple?
My need is 0.1 degree C measurement.
Asked by: Atul
Hello Atul
The software displays exact numbers (ex. 73, it would not display decimal points).

What wireless receiver will work with the MWTC-D-J-915? For some reason I thought the receiver would come with it.
Asked by: Wells
Hello Wells, receiver is sold separately. You can take a look at the MWTC-REC1-915 or MWTC-REC5-915 for your consideration:

Would this device be compatible with any type of probe . we are currently loooking for a device to measure compost temperature and humidity via some kind of probe.
Thank you !
Asked by: Marc Andre Lauzon
Hello Marc
As long as it is one of the following thermocouple types: J, K, T, E, R, S, B, C or N
Also the probe will need either a standard round prong or mini blade type connector attached at the end so it can connect to the transmitter.

What are the physical dimensions of the unit (length)?
I would need to add the length of the thermocouple plug to find the overall length of the assembly.
I need to verify if it will fit in our enclosure.
Asked by: ScottG
Hello Scott
The dimensions of the device are 82.5 L x 25.4 W x 15.2 H mm (3.25 x 1 x 0.6")
A mini-thermocouple connector's dimensions when connected to the transmitter are 20.6 (0.81") by 7.9 (0.31") and the width being 16.8 (0.66)

I have the HH-309A temp mapping tool, it was working while I was running on windows 7 but not that I am running windows 10 the tool no longer shows a connection to the computer. Is there another program that I need to download?
Asked by: Scott White
Scott,
The problem is the driver. Not the program.
I have the HH-309A as well and the communication to the unit stopped working with Windows 10.
Luckily Windows 10 identifies my USB to serial cable (labeled USB-300 by Omega) as:
- CP2102 USB to UART serial connection.
But the provided driver by Microsoft did not work... nor the original driver by Omega.
I found the Silicon Labs CP210x driver to USB connection in this site: https://www.pololu.com/docs/0J7/all#2
I installed the X64 bit version of it and it now shows in the Windows Device Manager under Port (COM & LPT)
as: Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM1)
I re-installed the SE309 Software from the original mini-CD disk that came with the HH-309A unit and everything
is now working perfect.
Home this helped.
