The OM-CP-CRYO-TEMP ultra low temperature data logger records temperatures as low as -86°C (-122ºF). The OM-CP-CRYO-TEMP can be used in a broad line of applications such as monitoring blood plasma, vaccines, pharmaceutical, frozen foods and shipping containers.This stand-alone device does not require any additional probes. The enclosure is designed with a handle for easy attachment and is IP65 splash resistant.
It utilizes a USB docking station (sold separately), to communicate with a personal computer or laptop. The OM-CP-CRYO-TEMP provides date and time stamped temperature readings. Our easy-to-use Windows software does the rest. The user can view the data in graphical or tabular form. High and low alarm limits and high and low warning limits can be programmed through the software.
The user can set the alarm limits in the range required for the goods to be maintained. The warning limits can be set to alert the user when the temperature is nearing a high or low alarm limit, so that proper action can be taken to ensure the integrity of the goods.
The OM-CP-CRYO-TEMP is equipped with three LED’s. The green LED will blink every 15 seconds while the recorder is logging data. The yellow LED will blink every 3 seconds when the temperature has breached the warning limits. The red LED will blink every 3 seconds when the temperature alarm limits have been exceeded.

Hi temp data loggerThe unit works as very well. Only issue is the directions. they are all online and incomplete so it is trial and error until you figure out how to operate to unit.

Good value for a stand alone data loggerI have bought these many times over the years and appreciate the updates to the user interface. The data loggers are very robust and accurate. I would give this a 5 star review if there was a version of the software that would also calculate Heat Index as part of the standard data output. Very useful for safety studies.
I would like to know what is the maximum distance the logger can be from the sensors in the wired version? Is it possible to have the probes place approx. 20 meters from the device? will the information carry that far?

The OM-71 has a built in sensor it does not have a remote sensor. Take a look at the OM-74 that has a external thermocouple connection so you can use a remote probe and 20 meters is no problem for a thermocouple.

When you are setting up the logger you can select either to stop on Memory Full or Memory Rollover for Continuous Recording.

Is this data logger completely portable? Meaning, when used in an autoclave, does it require a connection to a computer? Or does it simply get removed from the autoclave and downloaded onto a computer following completion of a cycle?

Hi, thanks for connecting with Omega. The OM-CP-HITEMP140 logger series requires a docking station OM-CP-IFC400 (sold separately) to interface with the computer. You would use the computer only for set up and to download data. After removing your logger from the autoclave, please allow it to cool down and clean it with a dry cloth before placing it in the docking station. This is really important as the docking station is not designed to withstand the autoclave operating conditions.
