The HX71 Series relative humidity sensor/transmitter provides a reliable and economical method for most relative humidity monitoring applications. The compact design is ideal for wall or duct mounting. Each unit is factory calibrated to provide excellent sensitivity, fast response, and stability. The unit features a simple installation and hookup. The linearized current or voltage output permits interfacing with most display and control devices like meters, controllers, recorders, and data loggers. The design features a 316 SS NEMA 4 (IP66) housing and includes a shielded output cable with stripped wire leads. A mounting kit is available that allows for wall or duct mounting.

If 24 volts runs through the signal wire, will it mess up the sensor?
HX71-MA requires 8 to 12 VDC supply. 24 VDC on supply could damage the unit.
HX71-V1 and HX71-V2 require 8 to 24 VDC supply.

Hi, I want to know what is the pressure range that the sensor works.
This transmitter is designed and calibrated for non pressurized environment.

We are going to put one of these sensors in somewhat dusty environment. Previously we had a HX71-V1 RH Sensor and it came with a protective cap made of some white porous material. I am wondering if there is such item for the current sensor?
You can purchase the IP-SC which is a porous stainless steel cap.

What is the temperature range that this sensor can be subjected to without damage either powered or unpowered? I want to use this sensor in a temperature / humidity chamber that can operate from -70C to 180C and want to make sure it would not be damaged.

Thank you for the inquiry. Operating temperature range is -25 to 85ºC (-13 to 185ºF) non condensing environment. Formation of frost would also drive the sensor in to over range condition.

If this probe is subjected to -75C while powered but not being used to measure humidity, will it perform properly when it comes back to its operating temp? Likewise if it is subjected to 180C will it perform properly when it returns to its operating temp?
