The FMG80A Series magmeter is designed for low-flow chemical injection or difficult-to-meter applications with pulsating metering pumps in ¼ to ¾" pipe/tube. The housing is made of sturdy splashproof HDPE plastic.

With no moving parts, the FMG80A Series can handle fluids containing particulate matter without clogging or jamming, keeping maintenance at a minimum. With no metallic parts (100% PVDF body and PVDF carbon fiber-filled electrodes), the meter is corrosion-resistant and compatible with a wide range of chemicals. Accuracy is maintained with conductive fluids (>20 micro Siemens) of varying viscosities and densities.

The FMG80A Series meter is compact enough to fit most pump/ injection systems. With zero straight pipe required after an elbow, it can be easily mounted in tight spaces. The mounting bracket adds stability. The FMG80A Series meter has opto-coupled current sinking or current sourcing pulse as well as a 4 to 20 mA output that can be connected to many OMEGA™ panel meters, controllers and data loggers; outputs and power are provided through a 6 m (19.7') cable with 8-pin female circular connector.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great purchase, will purchase again. Mechanical install was very easy and the included mounting bracket made the install fast. My only issue was the electrical setup which I needed some help with but that was fixed quickly with a phone call to support.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The unit works great and is very accurate. Just 1 question. The unit stops outputting at .3L/min instead of the .1L/min after the conversion from gallons.

Can i use this device to measure diesel or DEF

Asked by: Engineerwisconsin
Thank you for your inquiry about the mag flow meter. You will need to verify the dielectric constant is greater than 20 microSiemens since it works well with conductive liquids. If not, an alternative would be the FPD3002 series positive displacement flow meters.

I have 2 questions: 1) Can this meter be used to measure the flow of deionized water? 2) Can this meter be used to measure flow in 3/8" tubing where the absolute pressure of the deionized water is 5 kPa absolute?

Asked by: NickEng
Thank you for your inquiry. You will need to verify the conductivity of the liquid, if below 20 microSiemens, then, it will not work or be detected since it requires a minimum dielectric constant. Perhaps the Picomag flow meter can suffice since it has a lower conductivity. The pressure drop is considered negligible or very low, so the pressure mentioned is sufficient.

What is the response time of the unit?

Asked by: Energy Research
The response time will be less than 1 second for the FMG80A series.
