Product Specs

Minco’s SmartHeaters SLT heaters brought by Omega maintain a constant temperature, regardless of heat-sink or environment. They feature Self-Limiting Technology (SLT) that offers an efficient alternative to traditional heaters and temperature control devices, providing consistent thermal outputs and self-tuning in dynamic environments while reducing total system cost.

These heaters are manufactured using polyimide panels over a thin silicone heating element loaded with conductive carbon particles, and maintain a constant and uniform temperature. They will produce high power when attached to a cold object and will rapidly heat that object within a prescribed control temperature range. The exact control temperature is determined by the heater design and thermal loading, including factors such as heat-sink type, contact method, and environment temperature.

SmartHeat SLT heaters may be used over a wide range of voltages, enabling setup flexibility and ensuring system protection from power supply variation. The desired set point is maintained without the need for controlling electronics. Each heater also features and inherent safety temperature. This self-limiting behavior acts at every point along the surface of the heater, eliminating the risk of overheating in the event of delamination, poor contact, or environmental variations.

The heaters’ simplicity and reliability are ideal for applications like keeping batteries warm and condensation-free for maximum output, valve warming for liquid flow, and Defrosting & Deicing of displays and other sensitive electronics.

Is this heater vacuum capable?

The HL6505 would be suitable in Vacuum when attached to the item to be heated.
