Description

SMR and SPR Series magnetic non-contact safetyswitches with universal 22 mm (0.87") fitting have beendesigned to enable the conformance to EN60947-5-3and be used as directed by ISO12100, ISO14121and EN60204-1. They have magnetic sensing whichprovides a wide sensing distance and provides a hightolerance to misalignment after sensing. They canoperate from 4 directions even in extreme environmentsof temperature and moisture. They have volt freehigh power switching capability and can be usedindependently to switch low risk applications or connectto a safety relay to provide higher safety levels. Whenused in combination with most dual channel safetymonitoring relays they can be used to provide up toPLe/Category 4 to ISO13849-1.

SMR and SPR Series magnetic non-contact safetyswitches are designed to interlock hinged, sliding orremovable guard doors. SMR Series stainless steelsafety switches have been designed for applications inthe food processing, pharmaceutical, packaging andpetro chemical industries. SPR Series switches havebeen developed for applications in general factoryautomation, packaging and some food processingindustries.

They are specifically advantageous when:
     Poor guard alignment exists and a wide tolerance tomisalignment is required
     High levels of hygiene is a requirement, e.g. highpressure chemical or water hosing in the food industry environment
     Environments where high switching capacity is arequirement
