How do Silicone Rubber Heaters Work?
Silicone rubber heaters are flexible heaters constructed in variable watt densities. They use direct heat transfer coupled with low mass properties to allow for powerful temperature control. Silicone rubber heaters are reinforced with high-strength fiberglass mesh to ensure structural stability. All silicone rubber heaters where both the length and the width dimensions exceed 12” use the wire-wound element design. Heaters may be factory bonded or applied with silicone rubber TRV cement or pressure sensitive adhesive systems. Various mechanical fastenings are also available.
