FLR1000 Series flow sensors can measure extremely low flow rates from 20 mL/min to 500 L/min. These sensors are suitable for a wide variety of industrial, commercial, and laboratory flow applications. Not for use with Hydrogen or Helium. FLR1000 Series flow sensors operate on 12 Vdc power and are designed for incorporation into data acquisition systems that supply 12.5 Vdc to sensors and receive 0 to 5 Vdc linear signals in return. Because of their cost effectiveness, FLR1000 Series units may replace conventional glass tube and ball flow meters in applications in which an electrical signal proportional to flow rate is desired.
The FLR1000 Series uses a Pelton-type turbine wheel to determine the flow rate of the gas. The rotation rate of the turbine wheel is linear over a wide dynamic range. The electro-optical system consists of a diode emitting energy in the infrared spectrum. Light energy is alternatively reflected and absorbed from "spokes" deposited on the small turbine wheel. This reflected light energy is detected by a photodiode. Thus, as the turbine wheel rotates in response to gas flow rate, electrical pulses are generated. Processing circuitry provides a DC voltage output proportional to the flow rate. For example, output signal is 1.0 Vdc at 20% of rated flow, 2.5 Vdc at 50% of rated flow, 4.0 Vdc at 80% of rated flow, and 5.0 Vdc at 100% of rated flow. Sensors can handle 20% above their rated flow without being damaged.

works and functions but limitedPurchased unit but had to return the first one due to a defect on the screen. got the second one in and it works great, in an environment without any back pressure. The second any pressure is added to the mix the gauge is rendered useless. unfortunately the testing we are performing requires some pressure while still maintaining flow and we are not able to get the value we are looking for. looking at other gauges that might have a different system to make our test work.

Warning - Will not work with HydrogenWill not work with Hydrogen even though the manual says call Omega for Hydrogen calibration info. Talked to an Omega engineer and was told they cant give calibration info because the unit will leak hydrogen.

FLR1000We have purchased three. All three have preformed well.
With operating Temperatures around 15 to 70 Degree Celsius and pressure ranging from 2 to 1000Kpa with water as working fluid and data to be read on Labview. I will like to know if this meter will be suitable for my desired application?

Thanks for your question. The FLR1000 series maximum working temperature is 55 degrees C. This meter cannot handle 70 degrees C.

The user's guide / manual for these units (FLR1003 / FLR1203) indicate Viton O-rings as standard, but EPDM optional. Can I order the EPDM option?

What is the Mfr and P/N of the electrical connector? Or, better yet, the mating connector/crimps?

If you are looking for the communication cable connector, the part number for the connector and cable is FLR1000-C.

Will this work with a coolant liquid at -10 C? The coolant is glycol-water mix.

Thanks for your question. The FLR1000 series meters have an operation temperature range of 5-55 C and a storage temperature range of 0-70 C. This meter cannot handle -10 C temperatures.
