The new OS36-01 Series of infrared thermocouples are a revolutionary addition to OMEGA’s expanded line of infrared thermocouples. These units feature an exceptionally strong, hermetically sealed ABS plastic housing that makes non-contact infrared temperature measurement more economical. The threaded head can be securely mounted through a bulkhead or threaded into a tapped hole. The OS36-01 Series produce repeatable temperature readings for use in a wide variety of process monitoring and quality control applications.

How close to the heat source does this sensor need to be. Will the housing degrade if set close to a 425F surface.
