The OM-22, OM-23 and OM-24 are multiple use temperature and humidity data loggers that are ideal for a wide range of test and measurement, quality control, and environmental monitoring applications. They conveniently generate a PDF and Excel report on completion of data logging. The OM-22 measures ambient temperature using an internal thermistor temperature sensor. The OM-23 measures ambient temperature and also accepts an external thermistor temperature probe as input. Model OM-24 measures ambient temperature and relative humidity. These data loggers are completely user-programmable including language selection, sampling interval, start delay, alarm delay, temperature units, alarm range, alarm type, password and user name. No special software or driver is required for setup or download of data. The data logger appears as a mass storage device when connected to the PC. The user manual, a calibration certificate and data logger configuration utility are all stored in the data logger.

To setup the data logger simply plug it into a USB port on your computer and run the on-board configuration utility. Once configuration is complete the data logger can be removed from the PC’s USB port. On completion of data logging re-connect the data logger to the computer and open the configuration utility. Choose the function convert to PDF or convert to Excel and select the desired location on your computer to store the reports. The PDF report contains the data summary, graph and tabular results. The Excel report contains all of the information in the PDF report except for the graph.

We are interested in purchasing a data logger. This would be suitable to read packages shipped with dry ice? Thank you

Asked by: Tish
As long as units min temp does not exceed -30°C (-22°F). The display will not work at is temp range only above 0 deg c. The OM-CP-CRYO-TEMP is better suited for this application. https://www.omega.com/en-us/control-and-monitoring-devices/data-loggers/om-cp-cryo-temp-series/p/OM-CP-CRYO-TEMP?searchterm=OM-CP-CRYO

for what time period (how long) can I measure the humidity in a room?

Asked by: David King
The manual states that it can sample up to 24000 data points. At rates of: Sampling interval 30 seconds, 5, 10, 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes. So at 30 second interval: 200 hours (8.3 days), at 120 minute interval: 2000 days. Note however battery life is 3 months. It is not clear if the unit is connected to a USB power source if it will function without the internal batteries.
