Probes up to 48 inches in length are shipped "straight." Probes over 48 inches are shipped "coiled". If probe above 48 inches in length must ship straight, please add "-SST" to the end of the part number, and add $75.00 to the probe cost. Additional shipping fees from carrier may also apply for non-standard length packaging.

What is the minimum temperature which the tip of the TQSS-18G-12 is rated to? Can the tip be immersed in liquid nitrogen without damage? What is the accuracy at -196 deg C?

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not state a minimum temperature below 0°C (32°F). Testing shows the accuracy is no longer linear. If you want the accuracy, we suggest that you get a CAL-4 Calibration at an additional cost for temperatures below 0°C. Please contact us at temp@omega.com

What is the correct mating connector (sold separately)? Or do the thermocouple ship as pictured? For example, thermocouple part TQSS-116E-36, Would connector HST-T-F be all that is needed?

Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the mating connector is sold separately. Both the HST-T-F (Cadmium Free Liquid Crystal Polymer) and the OSTW-T-F (Glass-Filled Nylon) are options for a standard female connector.

The probe diameter (the smaller the diameter the faster the response time) , If the probe is Grounded , Ungrounded or Exposed tip , and the application . For the TQSS-18G-6 , the response time in air is 1.4 seconds and in water 0.6 seconds
