Product Specs

Omega’s averaging thin film sensors are flat wire wound RTD elements offered in flexible compact discoil and strip sensing forms. They are ideal for sensing temperature in tight spaces or on non-flat surfaces.

Compact discoil RTD elements are wound on a single plane for faster time response and can be installed anywhere for accurate point sensing that is less susceptible to self heating.

Strip sensing RTD elements average temperatures along their length. They can be wrapped around cyclinders or adhered to flat surfaces to eliminate point measurement errors. Mount on the end turns of stator windings and provides an easy way to add over-temperature protection when the stator is not being rewound.

These averaging RTDs are RoHS compliant and feature surface or pressure-sensitive adhisive (PSA*) mounting. They also feature polyimide, silicone rubber or polyester film insulation, and standard PTFE or silicone rubber insulated lead wire options.

Note: PSA reduces temperature range to -20 to 177°C and 0 in cable length is solder-pad style sensor.

Hello, I need a thermocouple to measure the surface temperature of different rock samples sunk in water at 300ºF. Is this thermal couple capable to do so? How many times I can use this thermocouple?

Thank you for inquiry. Unfortunately this thermocouple is not suitable for water submersion.
