Starting from May 1st 2018, CTXL-G Grey Color Models has been discontinued. As an identical functional and performance substitute, please check out the CTXL-W White Color Models for details.
The CTXL Series circular chart recorders from OMEGA combine
form and function in an easy to use two-channel circular chart recorder
with a large, 200 mm (8") diameter chart, and dual channel LCD
readout. The CTXL recorder is offered in 5 models, Ambient Temperature and Relative Humidity, Wireless Temperature/ Relative Humidity with an RF range of 90m (300 ft) line of sight maximum, dual thermocouple (J,K,T), dual process (1 V, 5 V, 10 V, or 0/4 to 20 mA), or pH/ RTD temperature.
The CTXL has a custom LCD readout that displays the current
values of both channels, and can indicate the min, max or average
input values as well. The display also indicates the chart speed
(1, 7 or 32 day), battery status, high and low alarm indication, keypad lockout status, and battery life.
Additional features of the CTXL include dual relays with contact
closures for high alarms, and dual voltage outputs for low alarms to drive
external relays. A built-in audible buzzer also informs the user of an
alarm condition. A hidden key (White Box) can lockout unauthorized access
to the front keypad, preventing changes to the recorder settings.
The CTXL features a rugged, ABS enclosure, suitable for industrial
environments, but it’s also intended to fit right in to other environments,
such as museums, art galleries, computer rooms, labs, clean rooms,
even hospitals. The CTXL is designed for both benchtop and wall
mount operation; a convenient base rotates out of the way, and is hidden
by a decorative foot cover for wall mount use.
Each unit comes complete with 120 assorted double-sided charts, 2 pen
sets, extra chart light, universal ac adaptor (110 to 240 Vac, 50/60 Hz), 4 D cell alkaline batteries, RS232 cable and adaptor, wall mounting kit, and quick start manual. CTXL-TRH models are also supplied with sensor probe and clip, and 1.8 m (6') probe extension cable.
† All amounts shown in USD Note: Complete with 120 assorted double-sided charts, quick start manual, 2 sets of pens, 1.8 m (6') remote sensor cable, wall mounting kit, 4 "D" cell batteries, and 9V Universal AC Adaptor. All charts are double sided.
Because of transmission frequency regulations, the wireless models may only be used in the United States, Canada.
Ordering Example: (1) CT485-CWF Package of 100, 7 day, ºF temperature charts, $23.73 plus (1) CTXL-TRH-W White temperature/relative humidity chart recorder, $1,008.00, $23.73 + 1,008.00 = $1,031.73

Failed shortly after arrivalWe purchased this unit to monitor the pH of an effluent stream at our facility. The unit was connected to the system and within minutes after connecting it, the unit failed and would not log the value. We will be sending the unit back for warranty coverage and identification of the issue. Another unit was sourced from a different company since Omega had a 3 week lead time on a 2nd unit. Installation of the other unit went without a problem so we are pointing to a failure of the device at this time

Simple UnitI am utilizing this unit with a Digital Monitoring system to the front end off the PH Cell,
It seems to work fine, It just not as easy to adjust the off sets as the older unit was, No
Needle Displacement adjustment, I am actually reading appx 5 percent higher than the Digital unit, and since the signal off the Cell is basically just sent down the line to this chart recorder I am stuck with my output reading. I would imagine if this were a stand alone unit that it would be pretty simple to correct this issue.

Less drifting in temperature andhumidity over timeWe've been replacing our aging Omega chart recorders from the previous that I believe is from early 2000 (if not older). Functionality wise, it hasn't changed other than being able to program the unit with ease. The older units had a single line LCD that you had to physically switch between the temp & humidity to read the values. We've noticed this new CTXL unit rarely drifts in value when we calibrate with our NIST traceable calibration tool on a monthly basis. The LCD is bright enough and also the new LED lights for the paper is brighter as well. Overall we've been very happy with the upgrade.
