Description

The CN400 Single/Dual Inputs PID Controller Series stand out for the bright display which ensures optimal visibility and increased level of information for the operator. The CN400 Series introduces the latest NFC/RFID programming technology with a dedicated App - Omega Direct Link for all Android devices (Free Download from Google Play). No more wiring, cables, or power supply, just quick set-up/updates on site with your phone. With dual analog input and dual analog outputs model option, the CN400 Series can achieve two separate heating/cooling PID control loops in one device or to handle mathematical operations between two process values. The outputs can be selected as command/multiple alarm modes/analog retransmission. Serial communication standard is RS485 with Modbus RTU/Slave protocol. The CN400 Series power supply has an extended range of 24 to 230VAC / VDC with galvanic insulation of the net for the single loop version, while the model with double analog input provides two versions: 115 / 230 VAC or 24 VAC / VDC.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware. Does Not Work. No one knows how to wire the input. No one could figure out after talking with 3 levels of people how to wire a 4-20mA input to either 27 and 28 or 17 and 18, pages 10 and 11. This is a CN402.

Regarding use as a pump controller for targeting a line pressure; does the use of the "Latch On" function provide the display with a psi feedback and target pressure scale if calibrated with a linear output transducer?

Asked by: ResearchBob
Thank you for the inquiry. "Latch On" feature is not needed for common pressure ranges and PID feed back control. It is available for process ranges which will have "0" at some point in the middle of the displayed range. Pressure transducers with compound range or linear position transducers are examples. Manual pg 19 provides example. Best regards OMEGA

Is the heating ramp rate programmable? Or does the output simply go to max once a temperature is set?

Asked by: Boronite
Thank you for your inquiry. This device does not have a ramp rate feature. This has ON/OFF Control & PID Control.

On the CN401-11445 there is a USB port accessible from the top. What is this used for? Can power be provided to the unit from this? Will it interrogate as a serial port over it so we don't have to use the rs485 connections?

Asked by: Ian123
Hi Ian, Thank you for the inquiry. USB port is used by the factory for testing, and set up. It is not a functioning USB serial port for the end user. Best regards OMEGA
