Software Not Compatible with USB C
This data logger has worked like a champ for 5 years. However I recently bought a new laptop (Windows 10) with USB C ports. The data logger is not detected and the data can not be uploaded. The data logger and software works with Windows 8.1 and USB 2.0 ports on my desktop computer. It also works with Windows 10 and USB 2.0 ports.

Works fine on battery power, (uses 9v battery) kind-of works on external power. But if it is logging and you plug in external power it erases all your data. If you are on either mode and the power cable gets bumped or if there is a power flicker it erases all your data. Not cool!

I was taking temperature measurements. I shifted the location of the Omegatette and suddenly the temperatures changed from stable ~23 C to ~500 C +/- 50 C. It is now stuck at this temperature after turning the system on and off?
