The FMA-A2100/2200/2300/2400 Series Electronic Mass Flowmeters/ Controllers provide high performance, versatility and state-of-the-art design in one compact package. The FMA-A2100/ 2200/2300/2400 uses capillary-type thermal technology to directly measure mass flow of gases. No temperature, pressure, or square root corrections are required. The FMA-A2300/2400 Series comes with an LCD display, and all models come with linear 0-5 and 4-20 mA output.

The FMA-A2100/2200/2300/2400 measures the mass flowrate of gases in 24 ranges from 0-10 SCCM to 0-100 SLM. For the complete listing, refer to the range table below. The FMA-A2100/2200/ 2300/2400 Series is compatible with most noncorrosive gases. The user is advised to check the wetted materials against gas compatibility.

OMEGA’s Mass Flow Controllers use an internal electromagnetic proportional valve to control the mass flowrate. A command signal can be supplied either by the internal setpoint pot or by a 0-5 Vdc external source.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for QC or R&D This is our 2nd flow meter of this style. The readings from old one match the new one. Good gage repeatability. Works great for checking air pumps. The display is good when you don't want hook up the analog output. Just keep the water drops away and make sure that you warm it up for 5 minutes.

Mass flow meters measuring liquids 120 degree's. water glycol. pressure's 800 psi. Up to 1200 psi. Factory aluminum foundry diecasting. CNC machining. Tough factory environment. Would like to talk to a engineer familiar with type engineering experience.

Asked by: Tazzer
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, Omega's mass flow meters are only for gases, not liquids.

Can this flow meter operating with the helium at cryogenic temperatures?

Asked by: Engineer101
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately no. The minimum gas temperature is 32 degrees F.

We have an FMA-A2307 that after it turns on and eventually zeros, drifts between 0.01 to -0.02. We had it calibrated one year ago. When we put a flow on it which ranges from 0 to 0.30 LPM, it takes a while to get to a constant number.

Asked by: bobbygct
Thank you for your inquiry! Yearly calibrations are recommended for these units and if this is a recent development another calibration may be needed. More details may be needed to diagnose this issue. Please contact us at flow@omega.com so that we can troubleshoot this issue.

Is the flow meter able to measure flow rates of air at rough vacuum pressures? I'd like to mount it inline with the inlet of a vacuum pump and measure the actual air flow rate the pump is drawing at line pressures around 10 mbar.

Asked by: jman
Thank you for your inquiry about the mass flow meters. Yes, this family of flow meters can measure in a vacuum application/condition and you have sufficient pressure to pull the air thru to measure.

We have a mass flow meter that displays up to 500 sccm, on a regulated 250 psi line. we wonder about damaging the instrument during cylinder changes, (filling the line and venting), should we install a bypass valve, a restrictor or will it take the hit?

Asked by: Nicolas
Thank you for your inquiry about the mass flow meter. That is a good suggestion to have a bypass the pressure away from the flow meter.
