OMEGA’s DFG35 Series is an economical digital force gauge designed for tension and compression measurements in a variety of applications. They are available in ranges from 0.12 to 500 lbF (0.5 to 2500 N) and have a 2000 Hz sample rate. A backlit graphic LCD displays large characters and a menu is available to access the gauges features and configurable parameters. Units have a USB output for data collection and setpoint indicators for pass-fail testing.

Power: Rechargeable battery or AC using adaptor (batteries and adaptor included)
Battery Life: Up to 7 hours continuous use with backlight on or 24 hours with backlight off
Low Battery: Multi-step low battery indicator is displayed, gauge shuts off automatically when power is too low
Measurement Units: lbF, gF, kgF, N (depending on model)
Safe Overload: 150% of full scale (display shows “OVER” at 110% and above)
Full Scale Deflection: All models 0.25 mm (0.01') except DFG35-0.12, 0.13 mm (0.05')

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Issues in Reading Rates The load cell is easy to use. But, there is an issue in choosing the number of reading per second. For example, using 0.1 reading per sec is the same rate as 10 reading per sec. Which is very inconvenient and so the maximum time to record the data is 1 hour and 20 mins only. In addition, the load cell came with a CD that is supposed to include the software that read it. But, the software did not run.

What is the lowest force that the DFG35-0.12 Model can measure? I assume that 0.12 lbf is the highest it can measure.

The measurement range of DFG35-0.12 is 0.0 to 0.12 lbf in both tension and compression. Display resolution is 0.0001 lbf.

Does this come with a calibration certificate?

Hello, Thank you for reaching out to Omega Engineering, the digital force gauge does not come with a calibration certificate. The remote load cell comes preset for use with the DFG-RS3 model , but you will not get a calibration certificate.
