Very useful thermocouples
We have used dozens of these thermocouples over the last couple of years. Tjey are very reliable. Unfortunately, they are used in a destructive test and are usually used only once. But we keep coming back for more!

5SC-TT-T-40-72
I recently purchased 100 TC's PN 5SC-TT-T-40-72. I noticed that ~1 in 50 are shorted inside the molded connector. When testing with a meter the TC reads ambient, when heat is applied to the junction it still reads ambient temperature. I suggest QA to add an additional check to the TC's prior to shipping to flag these TC's and remove them from stock.

Omega Type-T Thin Thermocouple (30AWG)
I like the product and have been using them for last 18 years. However sometimes the neck of male connector breaks and wires gets cut, although rarely. I propose two things - 1) please bring the price down and 2) please make some standalone piece or pack of 2 or 3 to accommodate customer's need and budget. Currently they come 5 in a box and priced accordingly.

My applications aren’t exceptionally demanding. I needed replacements to use with an Omega meter after the old thermocouples’ insulation was chewed on by one of my cats. This product is exactly as described.

What is the lowest Temperature that they read and what is the accuracy?

Is there special Fittings designed for this flat wire coupler to seal around the wire for oiled bearing assembly housings? Compression Fittings are only designed for Round Tubular couplers. Not Flat wire couplers. Please help!

1. What is the difference between "mini male connector with spool cap" and "single spool, mini male connector with spool cap"? 2. It says the price as $70.36 for a pack of 5. So its 5 miniconnectors with 36" wire with each? Thank you.

Do you have an epoxy available to coat the tips so they could be placed in a motor winding to read temperature?

The product data sheet specifies "NIST Calibration Available" however I do not see how to specify that in the numbering scheme. For example I would like the 5SRTC-GG-K-30-108 with this option
To get part number 5SRTC-GG-K-30-108 with NIST traceable certification you would have to use the Configure Now box on the 5SRTC page. This will let you build the part number step by step and one of the last steps is to answer with or without Calibration. If you hit YES then you'll get part number 5SRTC-GG-K-30-108-CAL-3. Would the exposed bead type thermocouple be suitable for use in Deionized water? If not, what are the concerns?
Thank you for your inquiry! Exposed thermocouples are not recommended for immersion/submersion in liquid because of the risk of a short. Deionized water may be less prone to this issue, but a probe is still the recommended option.
