Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid thermocouple So far so good with this thermocouple. One recommendation I do have, double/triple check the connector before ordering. I thought I ordered the right one, but ended up having to order a replacement. Top to Omega, add images of the termination chosen to the spec wizard.

Two Questions: 1. Where is the thermocouple measurement made? Can you cut off the bolt hole without affecting the performance? 2. Are these made in an un-bent configuration?

Asked by: bchynoweth
Thank you for the inquiry. The thermocouple tip ( sensing portion of the TC) is pressed within the washer. You will notice the small channel on the shoulder of the washer. You could cut off the bolt hole being careful not to cut in to the channel. We do not offer a flat version. Best regards OMEGA

Are any of these t/c made with stranded wire? I need something that is flexible. If so, what is the Dynamic Bend Radius?

Asked by: Greg B
Hi Greg, These are all made with solid wire. Please use 3 x wire diameter for minimum bend radius. Thinner wire will hold up longer. You might consider the SA1-K or the SA1XL-K as alternate. Best regards OMEGA
