The TX206TH is a cost effective “smart” in head transmitter that accepts thermistor temperature sensors and converts sensor output over a configured range to a standard industrial (4 to 20) mA transmission signal.

A variety of thermistor types are available when using the configuration software: select thermistor type, temperature range, units and burnout direction, without requiring calibration equipment.

PC configuration is performed quickly using our new USB port driven configurator by simply connecting two clips to the TX206TH loop terminals and following the software instructions. Calibration set-up may be saved as a file on the PC for later use.

Alternatively, a single pushbutton and LED indicator allows the user to configure transmitter range against a manually set input condition. A red LED is included to help guide the user. The LED also operates as a sensor error indicator.

Transmitters can be factory configured for any range specified at the time of order, removing the need for user configuration. Extra lead time is required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from universal generic programmable transmitter I purchased this with the hope I could program it to my own NTC thermistor which I succeeded in doing with a resistor decade box, power supply, and milliamp meter. It will monitor motor stators on a semi-hermetic compressor. Thermistor transmitters are hard to find. I was lucky to find this one. It can be programmed in less than a minute once you are set up.

Can I use 206TH transmitter to connect 10k-2 thermistors (10k Type 2)? Their curve is similar to NTC type, but not exactly.

Asked by: Chernobyl
Hi Chernobyl, Thank you for the inquiry. You would need to compare your resistance curve to the 10K resistance curves stored in the software. Listing of the curves is provided in question 2 of this topic. Need to check to see if the error on your temperature range is acceptable. Link to resistance tables for our 10K element; https://www.omega.co.uk/temperature/Z/pdf/z256-257.pdf Best regards OMEGA

What are the screw mechanical sizes? I need to specify connecting hardware.

Asked by: Clint
Thank you for your inquiry Clint. Unfortunately we do not have any specific information about the screw sizes. If you have any further questions please email the Temperature Technical Support at temp@omega.com or call 1-888-826-6342.

Hi, I have the current thermistor model ST-W24E-XL9 to convert to 4 to 20mA. I have a TX206TH. Will it supported? or any xml file similar I can use?

Asked by: MFMS
Thank you for the inquiry. The TX206TH has a small library of sensors stored in memory. Can I join one lead from two different 10K thermistors with the other two distinct leads(one from each thermistor) terminating separately on two TX206TH units?

Asked by: asd123
Thank you for the inquiry. You might have problem with ground loops between the TX206TH modules. We cannot guarantee that this would work. Best regards OMEGA

We have non-linear Honeywell 20K NTC thermistors model C7041C (18") in our HVAC system, we need to convert temperature ohmic value to a representative 4-20madc signal. Our system has a 24VDC power supply. Will the TX206TH work with the Honeywell model?

Asked by: JIM22
Hi Jim22, Thank you for the inquiry. The speed link program allows selection of YSI series ( our 44000 series) thermistors; https://assets.omega.com/spec/44000_THERMIS_ELEMENTS.pdf These thermistor resistance curves are not the same as Honeywell 20K NTC. Best regards OMEGA

Is this compatible with Honeywell T775 series PTC thermistor sensors?

Asked by: NPRL
Hi NPRL, The Honeywell T775 series are PT1000's which do not follow the thermistor resistance values of 2252K Ohm, 3K Ohm, 5K Ohm, 10K Ohm, and 30K Ohm. This series would not be compatible with the TX206TH transmitter.
