OMEGA’s PX309 Series Stainless Steel Pressure transducers below 100 psi use a high accuracy silicon sensor protected by an oil-filled stainless steel diaphragm. Units 100 psi and above use silicon strain gages molecularly bonded to the stainless steel diaphragm.

We provide a complete range of services—from product inception, through design and prototypes, to manufacturing and testing. Our application engineers work closely with our customers to customize, design or create entirely new products. Call us—whether you’re an OEM, manufacturer, or end user.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pressure feedback without breaking the bank Over the years I have purchased a number of these PX309-100GI transducers. I am using them at a nursery where they control the speed of 15HP submersible well pumps driven by Vacon VFD's. Pretty well fail safe. on this last one we added a snubber to hopefully extend the life of the transducer given the location.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value transducer I have used many of these transducers and found them a good value. It makes it easy to purchase them and Omega gives a fast delivery. When I need a replacement, I can get them within days.

Hey, Our lab is currently using PX209-015A5V, and we are going to purchase the same one. But I just found the PX209 is not available, and I found PX309-015A5V, could you please tell me the difference between them? Thanks, Lei

Asked by: Leiii
The difference is the PX209 Series sensors wetted parts consist of stainless steel, borosilicate glass, silicon nitride & epoxy. The PX309 Series sensors wetted parts are all stainless steel. The PX309 would be the direct replacement for the PX209

Can it be exposed to vacuum? I'm going to measure the positive pressure inside a sealed box when it's filled with inert gas. But the box will also be pumped to vacuum sometimes (pressure will be measured by other gauges). Will this transducer be damaged?

Asked by: wanglikun08
Yes the PX309 Absolute reference can be used inside a vacuum chamber

What is the resolution of PX309-100G5V? I do not need the accuracy value which is 0.25%. I need the resolution. The smallest pressure change that can be detectable in the sensor and how much output voltage can vary for the smallest change.

Asked by: RAJNe
Resolution really depends on how small of a signal change the instrument you are using to read the signal can resolve.

Is the PX309/329 series compatible with measuring air conditioning system refrigerant pressures (R134a)?

Asked by: TEng1
Yes it is. All wetted parts on the PX309 Series pressure transducers are either 17-4PH or 316 Stainless Steel

Would this unit be able to read water pressure up to the pressure ranges stated as long as the wiring and controls were kept waterproof?

Asked by: azeringue27
Yes it would. The wetted parts of the process connection are all stainless steel. The pressure media can either be a gas or liquid as long as it's compatible with stainless steel. The body and cable of the sensor have an IP65 environmental rating so they can tolerate dust ingress and moderate water spray. The sensor would not handle complete submersion in water.

How do I I calibrate PX319-300A?

Asked by: Brad125
Thank you for reaching out to Omega with your question. The pressure transducer you have , has a 300 psia range with an analog output. Typically it will be 4-20 mA/ amplified voltage or mV/V. Typically you would use a pressure calibrator to simulate known pressures, in your case 0 psia at no load and 300 psia at full pressure then you will measure the analog output from the pressure transducer. The output will have to be trimmed so that it meets the 0.25 % FS accuracy specification listed on the specification sheet. (Note that this unit does not come with span/ zero adjustment pots) We suggest sending the unit back to the factory for recalibration one year after installation of the unit. Thank you.

Does the PX309 or PX359-005GI have adjustable zero and span pots? Also, there was a question earlier about IP65 rating for the M12 connector - where the M12 connector and cable do not maintain IP65 rating - is this the same for the PX309 cable?

Asked by: KC18
There are no zero and span adjustments on any of the variants of the PX309 Series. The PX309 has a permanently attached cable. The IP65 rating is maintained on the PX309

I have a PX309-050A5V Pressure Transducer that has a 2K ohm resistor between the Output(+) White wire and the Black wire. What would be the purpose of the resistor?

Asked by: Susan1
Thank you for your inquiry, The PX309-050A5V has a 0-5 volt output and there would be no reason to add or resistor across the output.

What is the current draw on the PX309 4-20mA output. The spec sheet lists 9-30Vdc excitation, not sure how much to limit the supply current.

Asked by: Kathy89
The maximum current draw would be 24 mA
