Description

OMEGA’s rugged air temperature sensors offer the perfect solution for temperature monitoring outdoors or in demanding environments.
A 6 mm–diameter sheathed RTD probe is housed in the center of a 12.7 mm (0.5") outer protection tube which is drilled to improve airflow around the sensor. A 4-terminal connector block or 4 to 20 mA transmitter are housed in a tough aluminum alloy enclosure rated to NEMA 4X (IP65).
A cable gland is fitted on the opposite side of the enclosure to the sensor, suitable for cables from 2.5 to 6.5 mm (0.098 to 0.25") diameter.

EWSE-PT100 VS EWSA-PT100 Disregarding any spec sheets for the TR option: Can we wire the new EWSA-PT100 EXACTLY the same as we wire the now obsolete EWSE-PT100? Was the old EWSE-PT100 a 4-20 output and what output is the EWSA?

Thank you for contacting Omega Engineering on your EWSA-PT100 question. Please see below product manuals for the older discontinued EWSE-PT100 series and the new replacement EWSA-PT100 series. As you can see the electrical connections are the same for the EWSE-PT100 vs EWSA-PT100 RTD type output and the EWSE-PT100-TX vs EWSA-PT100-TX 4 to 20 mA type output. What is the sampling frequency for this sensor? Is it capable of recording wind speed and direction values once ever second? (1Hz)
