Omega's RTD probe with insulated lead wire has a shrink-tube strain relief support at the sheath/wire transition to provide wire flexibility and durability. This 316 stainless steel probe is offered in 2-, 3-, or 4-wire configuration. This is available in three temperature ranges covering -200°C to 600°C (-328 to 1112°F) to accommodate your specific temperature needs. Applications for this probe include liquid immersion, slurries and emulsions, granular material measurements, as well as temperature monitoring of heat bars, kilns, and pipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Omega arrived quickly and read accurate when installed. no wiring schematic made connecting a little difficult, but as there is only 3 wires it was easy to figure out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RTD This is an standard commonly used in the industry for low temperature monitoring. Stable, reliable, efficient and good application instead of a thermocouple. I ordered many of them for our projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RTD Work pretty good. Got the RTD within 2 weeks instead of the 1 month I was told.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality and consistent construction The large number of configurations of these probes is helpful to find one that is just right for the application.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from RTD Bad Ground The RTD is a three wire unit that appears robust and arrived in the configuration that was ordered. However, when it was connected to the digital controller for the oven, the sensor signal was lost each time the oven reached about 120 F. Tracing the issue revealed that one of the ground wires from the RTD had a bad connection. Just touching the wire as it exited the sensor would cause it to loss connection. The wire was not strained during installation given the generous space afforded by the oven. Since my lead wire is only 6' long, I am not so concerned about the added accuracy a 3-wire RTD offers over a 2-wire. So, I placed a jumper on the controller to connect both of the grounds together. If the lead time for ordering a new RTD was not so long, I would have returned this defective unit.

Hello. What length of PT-1000 tip must be in touch with fluids? This length is the same as the one of PT-100? Thank you.

Asked by: Mahdi
Thank you for your inquiry. The immersion depth for all the RTD probes is 20 times the diameter of the probe.
